To escape the stifling noise was seemingly impossible. No matter which direction you faced, the constant bustle of movement was ever present. Much like an artery provides precious blood to an organ, the sidewalks delivered people to the endless destinations of the city. Mingled within the crowds of foot-bound humans were VI's, fulfilling tasks beset upon them by their human foreman.
Between each row of personified blood, mag-lev vehicles floated by.
