It would seem correct to assume that everything i thought I knew is really an opinion based on the opinions of those who have agreed to form the consensus reality we base our daily decisions on, be they verifiable opinions or not.
The scientific method also renders itself as cult-ish, in some cases.
Powerful, but not the only way in which to form a cogent and practical system of viewing the environment we live in. We experience truth, then the priesthood of the scientific methods uses data to say: "Impossible!".
Sticking with silent observation over a clearly inebriated mind, critical thinking being only one process to engage at appropriate times or purposes.
yep, as I said...science is not without flaws, but it brings much more light and clarity than pseudoscientific quackery :)
