All of the pictures were taken during the day light hours on the moon. The light from the sun over powered the light from the distant stars. The sky is black on the moon because there is no atmosphere.

So, if there is no atmosphere, how does the sun over powered starlight in a dark sky? Is it demonstrated by property of electromagnetic wave? Or Is it due to the property of photon from the sun, which can block light from other direction?
