It's a breakthrough in science to be able to transfer the information from one photon to another. Where one was in the Gobi desert and the other in the satellite in space. According to Hooke Professor of Experimental Physics at Oxford University, Ian Walmsley: "this discovery can later potentially be used to create a cloud based quantum computer. It would also allow to send information secure, without it being tampered with or at least not without you knowing about it. " Image the what that would mean for all of internet and cryptos!
Quantum physics brings the mystery of our very universe to our doorstep and applying that to improve technology in a way that will blow the brains out of or minds in a few years, in the same way a person from the 1800th would flip totally if you would show them your Iphone.
I my personal view, which I'm not alone sharing. Everything comes down to energy, and that energy is itself consciousness. That's most likely why an object or photon can have it's properties changed instantly from any distance, since it's all within the great thought of the universe. Some of our greatest scientist as Albert Einstein, We all know speak of such.

Interesting stuff, but I thought that you couldn't 'send' information through quantum entanglement. So what exactly do you mean by 'transfer the information'?
It's a form of transfer since the photon after the experiment change it's properties to the same as the one on earth!
