Space is something that has always filled humans race with wonder. We are a fundamentally curious species, and one of the most fundamental questions that we can ask is “what else is out there?”. Well, occasionally, we get an answer to that question through the discoveries that we make. And those discoveries are often awe-inspiring. So, these are some of the incredible discoveries on space.
1. gravitational lensing: in space, gravity has some additional effects, unlike on earth. One of those has that ability to bend light around objects, an affect that scientist call that gravitational lensing. This picture is of luminous red galaxy, gravitationally distorting the light from a much more distant blue galaxy, causing the blue light to appear as an almost perfect ring. 
This is a remarkable discovery. It means that astronomers are able to study things like galaxies that are behind gravity sources such as black holes. Which also is quite interesting is that these effects can create multiple copies of objects.
2. Pareidolia is the effect of perceiving an image or pattern where it doesn’t really exist. And there is a lot of it in space. This photo taken by NASA on July 25th, 1976 appears to show a face on Mars.
