Abstract
Scientists have found a way to improve creativity through brain stimulation, according to researchers at Queen Mary University of London and Goldsmiths University of London.

I was reading this article today, and wanted to know more about this, since I am very interested in Brain stimulation. I mean who would not be interested, these scientists have discovered a way to make us all geniuses.
So I decided to research it further by reading the scientific report about it here:
https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-017-03022-2
I quickly realized this is the equivalent of Steemit whitepaper, or any whitepaper for a crypto project. I am a trader and not someone who focuses much on whitepapers, I mean if you read this part:
We found that in the post-test there was a higher proportion of participants (32%) who could solve type C problems following cathodal tDCS as hypothesised (X2 = 7.02, p = 0.030) than following anodal (5%) and sham (5%)
You would know this was not written for me. After all I am not @arhag @abit @complexring or @smooth ... maybe some more number crunching people on steemit can understand it, simply it was not for me.
But wait one minute, why not me, this is the science that will enable me to crunch those numbers and read whitepapers after all. That could contribute to me making better trading and investing decisions going forward.
OK how hard could this be? all I need is a small electric current going through my brains so I can start thinking outside the box. I am not out to create EOS or be @dantheman , I just want to simply comprehend his whitepaper.
The Experiment
Growing old is no fun thing, and if you suffer from chronic pain like I do, and have visited a doctor in the last couple of years you would probably have one of these:
Not the exact model but similar. So here we are, I have the scientific research and the equipment needed to conduct it (safely) at home. I am on my way of joining the ranks of geniuses, and I will be able to read all the crypto whitepapers and comprehend them fully. Success at last.
I know the experiment calls for low current to the brains, so I set my device to the lowest settings. Placed two electrodes as close as I can to my skull while avoiding areas with hair. It took me a bit to turn the device on:
Results:
My hands and various parts of my body were thinking outside the box quickly, but they were thinking on their own. I felt some muscles move that I did not know I had. I was lucky enough to snap the electrodes off before any damage occurred. I can not stress the lucky part enough.
So here I am now, not Nicola Tesla, but same old @joseph stirred and shaken. The steemit whitepaper still a puzzle as it was yesterday, and I am no better at reading any whitepaper, but praying that the common sense in my brains that handles my trading, is not gone.
I repeat DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME wait for the "Genius Electric Hat" to be sold at Amazon before trying any of this. At least when you fry part of your brains, there is someone to sue.
What a wicked story you have shared with us here! I'm still shaking my head. I love how you keep the Steemit and blockchain world of cryptos in the background of it all too. Witty! ;)
Thanks for this sharing and fun read of quality. I also look forward to the special electrodes "Genius Hat" coming out on... Steemit! Namaste :)
Frankenstein :)
Fun fact: Did you know Frankenstein was the name of the doctor who created the monster, and not of the being itself?
Yeah, totally, thanks anyhow, this is good to pass down the knowledge, just in case. All for one and one for all! Namaste :)
Hahahahaaa I did try that once and yes, its shock the bejezzes out of you! Had a headache and well.... why not right? Hooked the tense unit up turned it on and WHAM!!!!! So I have to laugh I'm not the only person to try it.
I can tell you guys something alternatively that works really well for me and causes "goose bumps" and the tingly cold feeling that feels awesome, as well as another method that makes your mind expand and have very creative dreams.
1st method:
Find some music that you really really like. Make sure that you are hydrated well. Quickly drink a caffeine beverage that is the equivalent of 2 or 3 cups of coffee(doesn't need to have sugar in it). Get the air conditioner on so that is is pretty cold. Now listen to your favorite music. It can be fast music or slow music, but it has to be music that HAS SIGNIFICANT MEANING to you.
When I do this it is an amazing experience I have so many goosebumps, my whole body tingles, I feel better, I feel like powerful and calm at the same time. It is like a pulsing goosebumpy feeling. I can feel something in my brain pulse this nice feeling through my body, while at the same time I feel very focused.
2nd Method:
If you also want to try this other way, eating about 500 calories of meat before you go to bed. That will stimulate your brain. The chemical reactions in your body happening in your stomach while you sleep send signals to your brain and you will have crazy creative dreams or nightmares. This works for me everyday if I do it. I have vivid dreams I remember very well. I remember them so well I can recall what my dreams and or nightmares were weeks/months/years later. Sometimes I even have the same recurring dream/nightmare when I do this. Spicy food also works, I find that something with meat works best though.
I usually have some rum, vodka, a lil more vodka...a little more vodka ......a little moooore vodka, and I sleep like a rock! Lol the music part is right on, I do sleep well with music on, hate the tv on but the wife loves the tv to sleep so another shot of vodka , and put on some headphones!!!😊
Hey, you can never have too much vodka(as long as you don't have to drive)!!! make sure your music isn't too loud or it can negatively affect your hearing :)
Huh??? What did you say??? Lol
And no.... do not drive , I'm not wanting to meet officer "DUI"
I think I tried my unit in so many places, but kept away from the head and private parts areas. Now that I tried this, I can affirm, those electrodes are not going anywhere near my family jewels :D
Family jewels!!!! Now THAT ain't happening!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
The beauty of it, in theory, is that the electric current doesn’t rewire the brain on its own it just makes it easier for the brain to rewire itself. At this point it seems obvious that this is far too good to be true. So what’s the catch?
There's a catch. Do not trust corporations or governments.
agreed
@indepthstory I agree with you 100/100 but @joseph, like I just said in my comment what's the catch? that's the real question. or you get
The beauty is, in the 20th century electrocution of the brain was used as a form of treatment to many mental issues. Later that process was labeled extremely experimental, even criminal. It was founded more on flawed theory than scientific research. Now we are revisiting that from the scientific research side. The potential of using electric current to rewire the brain is amazing. I believe such process in the near future will help with a lot more than mental problems, and go to the physical part. We only tapped into less than 2% of the potential of our brain power. There is a lot to know.
I have to wonder if this would have any benefit to alzeihmer patients, or dimentia patients. Your thoughts, and thanks for sharing.
The biggest benefit to dementia and alzhiemers patients would be to stop spraying alluminum in the atmosphere as chemtrails (NASA admitted to spraying the sky, and somehow the worshipers of scientism and NASA see nothing wrong with this.. SHEEP).
Chemtrails are the leading cause of dementia and alzheimers.
REALLY !!!. I follow all the news tidbits about chemtrails, and how nasty they are. But here is my philosophy on this. My grandfather passed away many years ago at the age of 91 with Alzhiemers and he lived in a remote bush where chemtrails would not have reached I would not think. Chemtrails is a relatively newer idea, inside 20 years. How could it be linked. Thanks for the feedback. Open to learning,.
Did you notice the uptick in those diseases over a 20 year time frame? It's dramatic. Of course it's not the only reason people get it, but the correlation is astounding, and alluminum is known to cause the issue, and that's the main reflective agent in chemtrails.
valid point. One would also have to consider, the gene, and is it hereditary. Just a thought. Yes I do believe strongly that chemtrails have caused a tremendous amount of illnesses. The correlation with Aluminum is astounding. Thanks
You say chemtrails, they call you a nut. You say lead in your drinking water it's a huge issue.. Chemtrails are heavy metals going on everything.. But that's ok cause it's a 'conspiracy' LOL Sheep everywhere. Abuse victim mentality with the government being the abuser.
With all the industrial pollution on the planet already why would anyone bother with chemtrails or such?
excellent point you make.
Genes and heredity are absolutely part of it, as they go to probability.
Yes the research into electric therapy on the brains will reach all that eventually, I am a firm believer that humanity will reach a point of resolving all this. Science is advancing quickly, I hope they come up with solutions and quickly.
I agree that Science is advancing quickly, however for the wrong stuff. If Big Pharma doesn
t back it, to make money eventually, then there is virtually no money to fund research that is important to anything else. If you can
t take a pill for its solution then its not getting solved, just my opinion. Thankswhy would humans want to accelerate the development of brain power instead of leaving it to the normal millions of years time?
Normal evolution is not based on choice, this is. We have a choice now and chose we will. Where that leads will have to be seen.
The question is why not?
glass half empty .... or ... glass half full .... beacause humans beings have been developing their brains for about ~400k years give or take ... slowly but surely; now we want to place a dynamite bar and push it at the speed of light ? ..hummmm ... I do feel uneasy when people mess up with nature ...
"Surgery" started as someone putting a piece of wood between someone's teeth, and hacking away at a limb with a saw. Some people called Surgeons, butchers. Science has to advance, it is nature that dictates our evolution, and science is part of that. Why do you consider it meddling with nature? Do you think a cancer patient would appreciate your slow approach?
doesn't cancer has to do more with DNA and the information it carries from one to the other? ...and this would be a different topic. By stimulating the brain I speculate you want peoples brain capacity to increase. Hey, now we will have one MUCH more smarter than other and the competition for resources will really be one of uneven proportions.
cheers
Actually, most medicines today stimulate the brains to produce/block certain chemicals/enzymes/proteins which helps the healing process, this stimulation might be done with electric current in the future without the need for medicine. We might be able to kill cancer cells by growing our brain capacity to produce cancer cells killers.
Isnt "nature" everything we do? If we, human beings© made by nature since 500k years ago develop insane skills thanks to our..well, brain, which is natural - isnt that natural?
Because you will be giving control to a system, a system designed by malevolent actors (potentially, likely) and co-opted to take control of your very thoughts and movements.
And thus the Borg Collective
is born...
bingo. That is the multicultural melting pot, and the end game. genderless borg slaves mindlessly working and totally brainwashed....
wait... sounds like today.
Maybe it could lead to a scientific discovery so advanced and so crazy that current humans would not be able to properly cope or interpret it? What if a technology infinitely more powerful than nuclear technology is found? What if it was possible to wipe out the entire solar system with just a single accident?
Can people become addicted? Like that tv series Intelligence when you show people what they are capable of will they want to go back?
Personally i wouldn't want to go back and be normal, who wants that! I don't think i can go back to posting comments on steemit while in the toilet figuring how I'm getting Toilet paper from two rooms away!
Never! 😂😂😂
This finding seems revolutionary, I read about something similar recently. There are so many things and discoveries in science everyday. And sorry to hear about your pain.
Don't try this at home :D surely someone is reading this article and got some bad ideas! I guess I will wait for Amazon (hurry up!)
Thanks for the article! Have a great weekend
:)
Amazing post but you know what is more amazing @joseph ..?
soon it will be available on aliexpress for sale ?
Safety warning: Using a TENS device as a power supply for a tDCS rig can hurt you, even on low settings, due to often kicking out more amperage than you should really be applying to your head.
LOL Great pics too. I will follow your advice and not connect electrical power sources to my head.
Thanks for the tip!
Congratulations @joseph!
Your post was mentioned in my hit parade in the following categories:
It's like getting high but vice versa
well you learn stuff everyday, was not expecting this when I woke up today
Just wait until we have a device like the neural lace. Now that's going crazy!
https://steemit.com/sciencefiction/@digitalcosmos555/futurtopia-1-neural-lace-how-society-will-change
Great information @joseph
Block chains.. Electrical brain stimulations.. The tech is really evolving
I would love they tried this on me to see the effect. zzzz
ok i didnt know this great info
That's something new for me to know, thanks for good post
Kinda reminds me of a story about Carrie Fisher where they used electric therapy to treat sever cases of Manic Depression but she lost all her short term memory. Hopefully no downsides to this.
Whaat?! Can't believe you try it. @@ It reminds me of a movie "Lucy", it'll be nice if we can stimulate and increase the percent of brain use.
Waiting to see it on Amazon. Years old more new things
If you found the number of mind control patents by the US Gov/Military, you wouldn't plug shit into your head that came from major tech companies, or anyone.
While I can read whitepapers for the most part (thanks mum and dad), this still sounds intriguing. I would prefer the "Genius Electric Earplugs" though. I'm just not the hat wearing type :/
Good. I'm waiting for hat you mentioned :)
Nice article I hope we don't have sue someone after its out
Cool science .
No thanks!
Wow, that was awesome. We are now in advanced age in which technologies were evolving fast! Nice info buddy! Upped and followed!
OMG!!! awesome! upvoted!
Thanks for the laugh. We're all waiting for that magic pill (or shock to the brain) to make us smarter than the rest. But then if everyone's eating these pills then will the smartest people overtake us and then we'll just be average again...
This makes my brain hurt.
"We found that in the post-test there was a higher proportion of participants (32%) who could solve type C problems following cathodal tDCS as hypothesised (X2 = 7.02, p = 0.030) than following anodal (5%) and sham (5%)"
it absolutely makes sense... doesn't it?
no just kidding ^^
i tried this electric stimulation thing many time in my earlier days
just by sticking my wet finger into a socket
i always felt more confused afterwards
just wait... stuff like this is gonna seem as advanced as the lobotomy next to what's coming soon enough, which is probably hundreds of years ahead of its time... :-)
Electrical Brain Stimulation, good research and very in need by every human being in the world. I have not tried but I will definitely try. I have basic about electricity. I have ever tried the reflection of electrical treatment. But I do not know about previous research. I will explain about the stimulus that will be available to the human body. Thanks
sounds great :D
Don’t get yourself the electric chair voluntary! You possess everything in brain to be what you are, to get smarter if there’s a need. It’s impossible to cover a mile with one giant step it will take over one thousand; -)
Haha, o that is golden! Are you sure you are not a person fit for science? Or didn't you try it again to be sure it was the shock that let you do this?
Thanks for sharing this story.
I am also fascinated in this article. Who knows mind uploading is just around the corner and we can live forever.
Cheers,
@Yehey

Wow! Impressive! Great article!
To be great in life you have to follow the best, that's why I follow you, follow me and we help each other
This post is shocking! :)
LOL : )
Giving the head electroschocks has been there a while in psychotheraphy to cure depressions. Not sure if we can take this one seriously though 😁
Electroshocks are not known to really solve any brain problems. As far as I know, at least...
I understand the positive side of this thing. But let us consider the negative side. The world will go crazy like hell.
To be honest, I don't like this idea of stimulating the brain. Our brain is unique and capable of doing something.
i think this is the new experiment toward the brain and its potential brain capacity; I personally like to read all kind of the brain stuff brain power what else we can do with our brain; We have such a amazing thing called brain if we can able to use our 100% brain power then what we could achieve in near future: keep going posting article like this Thank you!!
There' so many possibilities as to why we wanna accelerate brain power. One I can think of is to use it to accelerate the ability to imagine things as if it has already happened. This can be applied into the practice of law of attraction. Whether you want to heal diseases, or attract something or someone into your life. The possibilities are endless - and our only hindrance right now is our inability to use our brains to its full capacity.
