According to legend, once in the Sultanate of Deli Lama, approximately 10 km from Medan, lived a beautiful princess named Princess
Green. Beauty of the princess is spread to the ears of the Sultan of Aceh to the northern tip of Java. Prince
fell in love and wanted to propose to the princess. Unfortunately, his application was rejected by the two sisters Green Princess, namely Mambang
Yazid and Mambang Khayali. The rejection caused the anger of the Acehnese Sultan.
Thus, a war broke out between the Sultanate of Aceh and Deli. It is said that during that war a Green Princess sibling was incarnated
became a dragon and another became a cannon that continued to shoot at the Aceh army. Rest
"Fragments" of the cannon to this day are in three places, namely in Maimoon Palace, in the village of Sukanalu
(Tanah Karo) and in Deli Tua (Deli Serdang).

The other prince who had turned into a dragon, resigned through a channel
and into the River Deli somewhere close to the current Green Princess Road. River flows
taking him to the Strait of Malacca from where he continued his final journey on the far end of Jambo Aye
Lhokseumawe, Aceh.

Green Princess was captured and put in a glass case loaded into the ship for the next to be brought to
Aceh. When the ship reaches the end of Jambo Aye, Putri Hijau begs to hold a ceremony for her before the crate
down from the ship. At his request, it must be left to him some rice and thousands of eggs.
The princess's request was granted.

However, just the ceremony begins, suddenly blowing wind gig great and followed by wave waves
which is very high. From within the sea appears his brother who has transformed into the serpent with the dragon
using his big jaw, he picked up the chest where his sister was locked up and carried it into the sea.
Lagenda is still famous among the people of Deli and even in Malaysian society Melayudi.

In Deli Tua there are still ruins of the castle of Princess who came from the Green Princess era, while the rest of the cannon,
the incarnation of Princess Green, can be seen in the courtyard Maimoon Palace, Medan until today.
