The problem with Dawkins is that when you hear him interviewed he comes off somewhat triggered and pompous, tilting at windmills as it were. While there are those who deny evolution or don't understand evolution and think the earth is 5000 years old if you look at the Catholic Church their official stance is that the universe began with the big bang and that things evolve so clearly science and faith are not mutually exclusive. The catholic church actually operates a couple of large observatories and conducts scientific research. I often think that atheists need to study quantum physics more.
