Cbioportal - Tool for Cancer Genomics Analysis [Overview]

Cbioportal is a free online platform and tool that helps with cancer genomics analysis. You can analyse, visualize and also download large cancer datasets.

At the time of recording the video there were more that 140 cancer genomics studies for which the data was available at Cbioportal.

In this video, we're actually going to look at a specific example on how to work with this platform. Specifically, we're look at the breast cancer datasets and look for mutations and copy number alterations (CNA) in the TP53 gene.

TP53 codes for P53 which is a tumor suppressor protein that's very often mutated in many forms of cancer. We can look at the mutations in each sample from the datasets. And one important thing to point out is that all the datasets are anonymized. Anyway, please see the video below or click on the image at the top if you're interested in this subject.
