I didnt really dig deeper in that, but I've read somewhere there is a pretty strong connection (correlation) between THC and development of schizofrenia. The risk was higher even after one THC experience. Which is... well pretty bad news. But I agree, THC is probably less harmful than for example ethanol. Though I hate the argument "A is worse than B, therefore A is good".

Yeah, that's what I meant in the post with "vulnerable people". If you're already genetically vulnerable to something like schizophrenia, smoking weed might not be the smartest choice.
