A few years back I was offering my old PS2 on eBay, alongside a group of diversions. It didn't offer the first run through around. As I was going to relist, I got an email. It was clearly an African Pastor who said he needed it for his shelter. Obviously, he couldn't utilize PayPal on the grounds that reasons, however he was eager to utilize an escrow benefit (that he picked, clearly), and would even give me 20 bucks over requesting my inconvenience.

I noticed a rodent immediately, clearly, yet I figured I would have a ton of fun. I disclosed to him I would be glad to assist the poor African vagrants. Meanwhile, I relisted and sold the PS2.

He sent me another email in which he lauded my magnanimous soul, and said to sit tight for encourage directions. A few days after the fact, I got an email from the Royal Bank of Canada with an escrow declaration appended. I pulled up the email headers, and immediately found that the RBC had evidently fallen on harsh circumstances, and was presently working out of Nigeria utilizing one of their nearby ISPs. I followed the IP deliver back to an Internet Cafe in Lagos.

Only a couple of hours after the fact, another email from my companion appeared. It was a pre-printed UPS mark. He said to simply ahead and send the PS2, and he would discharge the escrow when it arrived. I said beyond any doubt.

I got an old cardboard box out of the carport, and topped it off with rock and the remaining parts of a pulverized soot piece. It likely weighed around 35 pounds. Slapped the name on the case and had UPS come and lift it up.

My Pastor companion messaged me around a couple of days after the fact. He appeared to be exceptionally disturbed, for reasons unknown. Evidently, UPS had charged him about $40 for a case of rock sent by means of 2-day shipping. I answered with all the IP tends to I had assembled, alongside the name of the ISP and the Internet Cafe. I likewise educated him that I had sent the points of interest of the UPS shipping record to the FBI (a lie, obviously).

I suspected that would be its finish. Yet, lo and view, yet another email from my Nigerian friend through correspondence. He was exceptionally remorseful, and expressed that he had seen the light and was presently wanting to go straight, and to please not contact the specialists. I just reacted with "past the point of no return".

That was the last I at any point got notification from him.
