Yesterday, I was watching a video on YouTube. I found an ad that notified me of a flash sale where kitchen gadgets and utensils were sold at 90% off. It seemed too good to be true because an air fryer would not sell for under 400/- INR. So, I just used the search bar inside the ad to find out if they had a 'Tadka pan'.
The search bar did not work and it looked fishy to me. The address bar had Flipkart written on it. So, I opened another window and logged in to my Flipkart account. Flipkart did not have any such product listed for such a low price and then I realised that the ad was displaying a FAKE WEBSITE.
I closed the ad window and told my family about this incident. My husband said these people had also advertised in the local newspaper about such a sale. I just hope people don't get lured by such scams and lose money eventually.
Never enter personal details unless you are sure the website is real. Check the previous sale or communication to prevent fraud.
If you are unsure, please opt for cash on delivery. Scammers will not encourage COD. Also, if a person comes to your doorstep and alleges that you or another family member had bought some product and demands money, do not hesitate to call the security and police and shut the door in their face. Such people do not deserve polite treatment. Scammers target people in small towns and houses that usually do not have security or other such protection. Even if you do not have a dog, switch on some dog bark video on your mobile and pretend that it is your dog that is waiting to be unleashed. Small thieves are usually afraid of dogs.
Online scammers are searching for new ways to cheat people. So, never fall for such schemes, and always consult your family members before buying anything worth a lot of money or investment. Aged people, women, and children are usually the target of such scammers. Make sure that you guide your family members or advise them about such scams.

Ye fraudsters kuch jyada hi active ho gaye hain aajkal aur sad baat ye hai ki inhe rokne wala bhi koi nahi hai matlab there should be some strict regulations on making such content. Sab ram bharose chal raha hai, fraud ki branding asli se jyada hoti hai to in scammers se bachna bhi asaan nahi hai.
