Yup, well all know who the fuck they are....well we actually don't know but we know it's ANNOYING.
The amount of scam calls made in the U.S has significantly increased in this past year.
What NOT to do.....
- Do not feed into their game.....the more you say over the phone, the more they can record and use against you.
- DO NOT SAY YES. Saying Yes to a random call can put your identity in jeopardy. They can utilize your voice to confirm certain transactions.
- Become enraged.....it is a waste of your time and energy. Instead, stay calm and realize that you can control the conversation with patience.........so what now?
How do we deal with them?
Beyond just ignoring the calls, the scam callers are persistent. They will continue calling through other sources until they have what they have. Ignoring them will not make them stop. T-Mobile has a nice feature of displaying "Scam Caller" on the phone using a data base of reported callers. When you see this pop up......this is your chance to get some revenge and scare them......
*************THIS IS WHAT HAS BEEN MOST EFFECTIVE RECENTLY IN ORDER TO DISSUADE PEOPLE FROM SCAM CALLING
- Answer the phone
- Say the following " You are on a recorded voice line, who may be speaking?" [ More than likely, this will trigger them into hanging up if it is a scam, most scam callers will not RISK being caught up, so they instantly hang up. They also flag the number they called based on "risk factors"
- Smile, because you just found a new technique to deal with scam callers.
If you're like me, you're tired of people claiming they are the police, comed, xfinity, and all the other bullshit that they want people to buy into. This type of response to scam callers could help you receive less calls and feel better about being able to "get back" at them a bit......
