So, uh.. long story short,** I got scammed**. I was gullible, but in my defense, it was my first ever investment. I'm hoping this post can spread awareness so that less people won't have to have this lesson learned themselves.
I mistook the legitimacy of a "Gods Unchained BOT" account that was able to direct message me on Discord because of my privacy settings. The message looked so legitimate, linking the actual official sites of Gods Unchained, with perfect grammar and punctuation, impressively formal formatting, and the deal didn't seem too good to be true since my impression of the devs of this game is that they're very generous to the community in the first place. It was so legit, in fact, that I thought I read the message in the Discord server of GU itself (the channel organization is arguably disorganized) which is why I got hooked to invest in it immediately especially that they put out the offer to be highly limited and rapidly decreasing in supply. I don't even have much money myself, but I opted to invest because I really believe the potential of this game, and I'm passionate about supporting it because the gameplay is actually deeply enjoyable. They were selling a stock of 1,000,000 $GODS tokens as a way of thanksgiving to the community, and I bought about 800 pieces for 0.06 eth. I was so panicked and excited at the same time rushing to get the transaction down as stocks were getting low quickly. I asked in the Discord channel, and to my surprise, I was met with..."SCAM!!!!". I spent 0.06eth, my very first deposit on the very first crypto game I've ever genuinely supported, and well, I guess it's a lesson learned. So just to spread awareness, everyone, do not buy on godsunchained.store. You will get scammed for your money.
