So basically @steemmonsters requires users to pay a $10 ransom to get their keys for their chosen username? They have no way to get it for free? Not cool.

Educating the users should also be your job, instead of reducing security to make it easier. You can generate keys client-side, and teach them how to store it / back it up. If @steemmonsters doesn't try to educate new users, how will they learn? Or maybe you just want these accounts to be @steemmonsters bots once they become inactive players?
