THE WELL

It was noon in the land of Palestine, the sun was shining brightly. The heat became unbearable; the traveler's feet no longer wanted to take another step; his forehead was beaded with sweat and his tongue began to stick to the palate. The desire for a sip of fresh water grew stronger at every step. Ah, blessing ... Jacob's well !!! Jesus sat there to cool down and rest, but was interrupted by someone who also needed water to cool off from the heat; someone who knew it was difficult to draw water from the well because it was so deep.

How many times our soul is thirsty! And as that woman found that the well was deep. Many find it that way; It seems too deep to us because of the anxiety caused by some illness in the family, or by a son who tells us "Mom, I'm leaving home." We despair for the spouse who leaves home or because money is not enough and food is scarce ... How to obtain victory over that depth and achieve water that quenches thirst?

«If you knew what God could give you and you knew the one who is asking for water ...» Today Jesus also tells us that there is no well too deep for Him. He went down from the top to be able to help those who are submerged in our pains , anguishes and misadventures. Today, Christ is the one who quenches all thirst. If, like the woman, you say, "Lord, give me that water," you will be satisfied and the freshness of his presence will flood your whole being. With Him you will gain victory over any situation, however difficult or profound it may be.
