The last week reminds us of the historical coming of the Son of God to the world, when he was born with a human figure in a humble abode in Bethlehem. In Mary's womb, the promised messianic presence is verified (Lk 1, 28.35). During the last seven days of Advent, the office of Vespers contains an antiphon every day, which summarizes the prophecies about the Messiah, translates the ardent desire of the Jewish people and of all humanity and the supplications for the coming of the Savior. In this time of waiting we can not stop fixing our eyes on our Mother Mary, the One who presents the Child in her arms, the One who not only carried him in her womb but in her Immaculate Heart. AND HOW CAN WE LIVE THIS ADVENT TIME? There are many means that help us to live better the Advent and to prepare ourselves for the Birth of Jesus at Christmas. Some of the most important are: With prayer: Above all this time is a good occasion to go more often to personal prayer and also as a family. It is in prayer that we meet that God who has come to save us from sin. Going to the sacrament of Reconciliation and the Eucharist: In this time of Advent it is also opportune that we approach with a truly repentant heart the Sacrament of Reconciliation, confessing our sins to the priest who forgives us in the name of Christ and reconciles us , disposing our hearts to receive the Lord Jesus in the Eucharist, source of Life and Love.
