I bless you, dear friend and brother in Christ.
My message today is based on 2 Kings 2: 11-12, in which we find the interesting story of two important men of God: Elijah and Elisha.
“As they walked and talked, suddenly, a car of fire and fire horses appeared that separated them both. And Elijah went up to the sky in a whirlwind. Elisha saw him and shouted: "My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and their riders." And he no longer saw it. Then he took his clothes and ripped them into two pieces. "
This text teaches a supernatural event, this chariot of fire is evidence or sign of heaven on earth. We can remember that the Lord Jesus came announcing the gospel of the kingdom, and his ministry on earth was accompanied by miracles and signs, because it is the glory and power of God that seals this message that comes from God.
The Bible teaches us that Elijah's time on earth was over, and that the Lord sent him a chariot of fire and took him alive. Let us remember that some time ago the prophet Elijah under the juniper and for the persecution of Queen Jezebel wished to die, but that was not the will of God, the Lord had something different for his servant.
When we conclude that everything is over or we want it to end, the Lord teaches us that all things have their time and will do them their own way, they will always surprise us with their kindness, love and care. God brings the best for your life.
We can also see a new time begin and now the prophet Elisha would be God's instrument as a prophet of Israel. For Elisha and the nation of Israel a new period arrives, it is a new stage in God's plans, and it is a time of blessing and growth for all. God knows what he does.
It is very important to keep in mind that the one who really does the work is God, the Bible tells us: “Then he lifted the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, returned and stood on the bank of the Jordan. .. And he struck the waters, and said: Where is Jehovah, the God of Elijah? And then he had struck the waters in the same way, they turned from side to side, and Elisha passed by ”2 Kings 2: 13-14.
Then, we who serve God are instruments in his hands, without his blessing and support nothing important happens.
The prophet Elisha said: "Where is Jehovah, the God of Elijah?" And this shows us that he wanted to see the Lord showing his glory and power, he trusted God. Trust him, he won't let you. That is why it is written: “Jehovah the Lord will help me, therefore I was not ashamed; that is why I put my face like a flint and I know that I will not be ashamed ”Isaiah 50: 7.
Conclusion: The changes that God sends to our lives mean leaving our comfort zone, but we can move on, because the Lord himself is the one who helps us and strengthens us.
When Elisha saw the glory and power of God in his life, in the same way that God will do with you, reader friend.
