Start gathering all those coins

in #savings6 years ago

What I am about to elaborate on is what you have known since birth. How often do we give out spare change(coins)? A lot, right? This is not to say, giving out money is a bad idea. I for one, I’m all for giving back to the less fortunate. What I am trying to say is how often do we gather the little we have. There is a popular saying that goes “Little drops of water makes a might ocean”. One thing people don’t know is that, the mighty ocean only appears if you keep collecting the little drops of water.

There are several people out there with busy and tight budgets, so much that, at the end of the month, they have close to little to save. Some even go to the extent of borrowing to supplement the little they receive. But have you ever wondered how much your little coins if gathered properly, can do for you? The answer is obviously “no” because to you they are too little to matter.
Putting your spare change into a piggy bank will most definitely in time give you enough to start say, a business with. You could end up buying yourself that piece of jewelry you have always wanted without tapping into your income. If you happen to be a parent and you do this, there is a high chance that your children will start it too thereby inculcating the habit of saving in your kid’s life and as they grow with it, they will save bigger amounts.

Imagine saving coins from January to December and getting say, $1000. On Christmas day, you can visit an orphanage and be a Santa Claus to the truly less privileged ones. There is more blessing in that too in case you haven’t noticed. Imagine you used this strategy back when bitcoin was less than a dollar and every day, instead of a piggy bank, you bought for yourself say 0.5BTC every day for 30 days and didn’t touch it. So that means you had 15 BTC in your wallet in December 2017 when 1 BTC= $19,000. Which makes your little drops now a $285,000 ocean. Now how does that feel.
A wise man once said, we have got to prepare ourselves for opportunities rather than wait and be unprepared when the opportunity comes.

My name is Amankwah Amoako (KwakuMax) and I’m just trying to spread some sense. Do you feel it?

I kind of feel that the sentence “Little drops of water makes a mighty ocean” is kind of a repetition, instead you can say"little drops of water makes an ocean" because the ocean is already mighty. wise post!!

Congratulation kwakumax! Your post has appeared on the hot page after 4min with 24 votes.

Good job.

Buena publicación, a veces no le damos importancia a lo mas pequeño sin saber que en el fondo es algo con mucho valor predominante.

Point absolutely made. To put it the other way round you could be loosing that much money for not gathering the coins.
