NOW is a good time to join @steemclan and take part in steem's Satoshi Treasure Hunt

Now is a great time to join @steemclan and take part in Satoshi's Treasure Hunt - a community effort to find the 400 (out of a total of 1000) keys necessary to release $1M of Bitcoin.

Most of the keys require some serious brain-hurting and sleuthing to find, but the latest key challenge - key 10 ('the clan key') - is relatively easy to win - it will be awarded to whichever team chains together the highest number of tweeted videos of their clan members performing their clan symbol, while playing a video of the last person in the chain also performing the symbol, all with appropriate hashtags of course!

How to take part...

If you're interested in joining in on this challenge, you need to co-ordinate your efforts with the rest of the clan.....

I suggest reading this post by @paulag - it explains everything you need to do, which is basically

1. join the steem satoshi treasure hunt discord server
2. Fill in a google form with your steem user name and twitter account
3. Wait for the go ahead from the current co-ordinator (the blocks need to chain together in the correct order)
4. Construct your video for the tweet, drop it in the discord so someone can check it's correct (I only realised this after posting mine, oops, but it was all fine)
5. Post your video with the appropriate hashtags - which are all outlined

NB - As far as I see it the coordination rather than the raw numbers is the challenge here, but all other things being equal, the more people, the better).

Some people worth following include @wholeself-in, @akiroq, @niallon11and @torrey.blog, and the clan leader @blanchy, who are some of the people hard at work organising this key and/ or working on the previous keys (which aren't in my skills set, I like easy!)

The easiest way to join Steem is to use 'Steem Ninja' - it does cost $2.50 (about £2), but for that you get 15 Steem (worth around $6 at time of writing) delegated to you for 90 days. NB if you sign up and drop your new Steem user name in the comments below, I will delegate a further 15 Steem to you to double your total starting 'Steem Power' up to 30.)

Once you've signed up, the best 'getting started guide' is Steem Onboarding - this will guide you through what Steem is and how to use the platform through 10 introductory videos.
