Pictures are better then a thousand words. A trip to the Santa Monica Pier is generally a fun tourist attraction. I was able to walk here from my dentist appointment, so I randomly took a stroll through the pier. I think that everyone should go to the beach at least once in their lifetime, for an experience like this is memorable and filled with serenity.
The first three images were of me showing up to the pier, so I had to walk a little bit possibly about half a mile to the platform where all of the locals, tourist, travelers and occasional families gather.
I managed to score some cool images, and I hope you all enjoy them. At the pier there are many cool things you can do. You can travel towards the platform where there are loads of vendors selling memories. Some paint your picture, some feed birds, while other simply sing throughout the whole day for tips of coarse. Many vendors stand here and sell snacks upon arrival there are a few vendors that sell “churros” and drinks before getting on the platform for a few bucks once you reach the platform the selection goes up. You can buy buba gump which is filled with props and images from the movie Forrest Gump. You can also buy hotdogs and soda for a few bucks! Many along side of the pier are sun bathing and swimming through the day. But be careful not to get sun burned! Because this type of sunburn can last for about a week so be careful and bring your sun screen skin protecting lotions!
There is also a handful of things to do such as an arcade game location where you can come with friends. Generally people play air hokey, first person shooter games, along with racing games it’s good fun. Others go to the small theme park that is located on the platform. Here you can get on the Ferris wheel 🎡. You can also board a mini roller coaster right above the ocean .
Others simply come to the pier to dine because beach front restaurants are pure bliss. What ever you choose to do just remember to have fun and enjoy yourself!
P.S I how you enjoy my images of a short escapade from the city.
Great photography. It looks amazing. I need to make my way out West some time.
If you ever do come do it for two weeks and I’ll try to show you around for at least two days a week. Which are my work rest days.
