Trichocereus Cacti Hybrids - Part 1

in #sanpedro6 years ago (edited)

Hello steemers,
As a big fan of entheogens, the spiritual Trichocereus 'AKA San Pedro' have always found a place in my garden and in my heart. Not only is a Trichocereus a must have addition to any entheogenic garden, it can be used in showy garden displays and is an ideal choice for a drought tolerant garden as often required here in parts of Australia.

Cacti are becoming more and more popular through out Australia as home gardeners battle with water restrictions and as psychonaughts take an environmentally friendly approach to psychonaughting.

With the increased interest in Trichocereus we are seeing breeders releasing many new hybrids both, stunning and spiritual.

The seeds for all the cacti pictured were sourced from 'Trichocereus Australia' one of not only Australias, but the worlds top breeders.

I added daytime and nighttime pics of the cacti as the different lighting highlights certain distinguishable features. I hope such documentation might help reduce the number of named clones we see popping up through out the cacti community. I believe some of the differences we see may be nothing more than lighting or varied environmental conditions.

I hope you enjoyed my first steemit post as much as I enjoyed sharing it.

Till next time,
Pop

My favourite plant spirit medicine. Just mentioned it in my podcast, uploading on DSound as I write!

With out a doubt, there is a subtle beauty to it. I will have to have a listen on DSound, sounds like it might be right up my alley.

Good stuff. It's up, top post on my blog currently.
