Sailing Yacht Ayla has a jungle gym (ladder) and I’ve never let wearing a skirt keep me from playing!
[[Ok, I uploaded this photo 5 times in slow Wi-Fi and it’s always sideways - WHY?!]]
This bespoke shpoontz is a dream to sail! Hard to get used to the helm not being a steering wheel and raising 4 to 5 sails. A fantastic challenge and learning opportunity! A truly beautiful and FAST vessel!
Oh, but this beautiful sailing life is without consistent WiFi; a blessing and a curse! Unfortunately I can’t update you lovely Steemians in real time and there’s so much I want to share with you!
I’ve joined Ayla for the Atlantic Crossing, was picked up in Mayreau a week after departing from dear @justinvagabond. Ayla and I arrived in Guadeloupe yesterday to Bas du Fort marina and the first WiFi I’ve seen in two weeks. Here for repairs and preparations: wooden mast work and mysterious leaks, and epic provisioning. The first day of working and I was introduced to a young Norwegian captain whom I gave a tour of Ayla. Ayla’s Captain Christophe encouraged me to join this Norwegian vessel heading to Azores as he now does not know when or if he is leaving! I’m heartbroken as I adore the captain and love this yacht and confused as I’m too loyal and attached to jump ship so quickly. The Norwegian leaves for an Atlantic Crossing at 9 in the morning. It’s not advisable to join a difficult journey with a crew you’ve never sailed a day with. However, fortune, fate, and opportunity don’t always come with comfortable timing. What to do?!
If I stay you’ll see old video finally dtubed. If I leave I will tell you of the journey in several weeks!
Love to you Steemians💖✨
Excellent post!
