The world's oldest man died in southern Japan. His age was 117 years. An official of Kikaii told that the prophet Taizima died at a hospital before about eight o'clock last night. He was recruiting there since January The Prophet was born on August 4, 1900. He allegedly had more than 160 descendants (including Great Great Grand Children). His city Kikaii is situated in the Kagoshima province on the southern part of the four main islands of Japan.

The US-based 'Geronology Research Group' says that now another Japanese woman Shio Yoshida is the oldest person in the world. His age is 116 years. Recently, 112 year old Masajo Nonaka, a native of Japan's northern province of Hokkaido, was recognized as the world's oldest living man. He was born in 1905. They are nearly 5 years younger than Tajima.
