In Russia, there is its Santa - Claus. He is called Santa Claus. Grandfather means that he is grandfather, meaning he is an old age.
В России есть свой Санта - клаус. Называется он Дед Мороз. Дед - означает ,что он дедушка, имеется ввиду, что он по возрасту пожилой.
