I'm no expert on this. I think you benefit from a few runs of at least a half hour each week. Maybe others will chip in, but there are plenty of running guides on-line. If you haven't run much before then start gently.

I play sports on a regular basis but that doesn't help with the stamina..
Let's give running a try and see how it goes
