During winter time our running group #GiBit (https://www.facebook.com/gibit.si/) has just one organized workout per week. I want to share today's workout with you, because I wanna show how the group of diffrent runners, who are in diffrent shape can do the great workout together.
We went to ste stadium (we rarely do that, because nature is more fun), because you can do this workout only if you have more laps.
So, I as a coach was the leader. I said I will run 8km in even pace 4 min/km. We all started togather. When someone got tired, he or she dropped out, took a rest for lap (or 2) and than joined back to the group. Some could endure it for only one lap, so for them was this a great inteval workout, some for km, one runner was with be till the end.
Hard workout are always easier, if you have company.
At the end we were all satisfied, we made a great workout and we have done it all together. I
will always speak in favour of training in a group, whick brings many benefits. More on this topic maybe next time :)
And after workout? Pancakes :P
Summary:
- worm up (2 km, some excersise)
- tempo run: 8 km, 31:53 (pace: 3.59/km)
- cooling down (1km + streching)
Total: 11 km
The day has only 23 hours and not 24, do you know why? Because one hour is booked always for running.
