Proposal to limit Runi Whitelist presale and maybe general sale.

in #runi2 years ago

Ok this is my first post on peakd and I fully expect it may not be popular, flame away.

The Riftwatchers presale of 500,000 units sold out in 1:39, one minute and 39 seconds. $2.5 million worth of Splinterlands assets. https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@splinterlands/riftwatchers-success-debrief-request-proposal-and-future-sale-plans

The upcoming Runi project... https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@splinterlands/introducing-the-runicore is IMO going to be in as much demand if not more. 6500 total units planned at $500 each. 2000 units of which will be available presale @ half off for 100 vouchers(~$70).

I very much fear the presale could end up being which guild buys them all first for its collective. I have no doubt 1 of the larger multi chapter guilds could pool enough vouchers just from it's members to instantly buy out the presale in the first transaction funneled though one member.

After the presale that is going to leave 4500 units for the general sale next month. @$500 each for those units that is going to be $2.25 million worth of units. For this item I'm not even sure that will need 1 minute to sell out let alone the 1:39 Riftwatchers took.

I would personally really like a chance at especially getting on the whitelist presale but at a minimum into the general sale. I would like to propose that the whitelist presale at least be limited to 1 per ETH address if not both the presale and general sale.

This would likely still sell the presale out fairly fast if not instantly as I expect it will already, but ensure as many people as possible have a shot of getting on the list.

If pushed to the general sale as well, I once again expect it isn't going to stop the entire run from selling out. Just might take more than 2 minutes to do so. :-)

How many whitelist spots did you end up getting?
