Area of the Stars. Mogilev. Belarus.

Одна из главных площадей города называется - площадь Звезд. Она делит, одну из самых старейших улиц Могилева - Ленинскую, на две половины. Главная достопримечательность площади это скульптурная композиция "Звездочет", которая была построена в 2003 году по проекту скульптора Владимира Жбанова

One of the main squares of the city is called - the area of the Stars. It divides, one of the oldest streets of Mogilev - Leninskaya, into two halves. The main attraction of the square is the sculptural composition "Astrologer", which was built in 2003 according to the project of the sculptor Vladimir Zhbanov

Сама скульптура высотой 7 метров, представляет собой сидящего на стуле Звездочета. Рядом с ним расположен телескоп, который служит стрелкой указателем солнечных часов. Ночью в телескопе включается мощный прожектор, свет которого можно увидеть издалека. Вокруг Звездочета расположены двенадцать стульев: каждый стул символизирует знак зодиака.

The sculpture itself is 7 meters high, and it is sitting on the chair of Zvezdochet. Next to it is a telescope, which serves as an arrow for the indication of a sun clock. At night, a powerful searchlight turns on in the telescope, the light of which can be seen from afar. Around the stargazer there are twelve chairs: each chair symbolizes the sign of the zodiac.

Площадью звезд площадь называют еще и потому, что на ней есть своеобразная аллея выдающихся людей уроженцев Могилева. Среди них спортсмены, музыканты, ученые.

The area of the stars is also called the square because it has a peculiar alley of outstanding people of the native of Mogilev. Among them athletes, musicians, scientists.

В самом центре площади расположен действующий кинотеатр "Родина", построенный в 1939году.

In the heart of the square is the acting cinema "Rodina", built in 1939.

Пешеходная улица - Ленинская, бывшая Большая Садовая. На ней находятся наибольшее количество домов построенных в XIX веке.

Pedestrian street - Leninskaya, the former Bolshaya Sadovaya. On it are the largest number of houses built in the XIX century.
