The Colosseum in Rome draws a lot of attention, but when you find that its building was financed by plunder from the the temple in Jerusalem and that the slaughter of thousands of Christians and poor people and slaves took place there it kind of loses its charm. I would love to visit Italy and eventually Rome, but the Colosseum isn't the first place I would go.
