Another three and a half thousand Rohingyas are going to Bhasanchar

Today, Thursday and tomorrow, Friday, two and a half thousand more Rohingya refugees are being taken to Bhasanchar in Hatia upazila of Noakhali. This will be the third phase of large-scale relocation of Rohingya refugees from Ukhia-Teknaf in Cox's Bazar to Bhasanchar. Relevant sources have confirmed this information.

About 1,000 Rohingya refugees from the Rohingya refugee camp were brought to the Transit Point Ukhia Degree College ground on Wednesday by 20 minibuses of the C-Line service and 10 dumper trucks carrying goods to take them to Bhasanchar. The Rohingyas who were brought to the transit point from the refugee camp to Bhasanchar on Wednesday. These are: Balukhali Camp No. 6 East, Camps No. 9, 10, 11, 12, and 18. The group of Rohingya refugees will leave for Chittagong by bus on Thursday for Bhasanchar. From Sokhan will be taken to Bhasanchar by sea.
On Friday, a separate contingent of about one and a half thousand Rohingya refugees from Kutupalong-1 East, 2 East and 2 West camps will leave for Bhasanchar. They will be brought from the camp to the Ukhia Degree College ground on Thursday afternoon.
According to a camper, Rohingyas are becoming more and more interested in going to Bhasanchar.

Those who have already submitted the list of those willing to go to Bhasanchar voluntarily to the camp in-charge are going to Bhasanchar today and tomorrow. In the third phase, a large contingent of Rohingyas voluntarily went to Bhasanchar in two days, while members of the law enforcement agencies and administrative officials were providing them with security and necessary assistance.

Authorities have set a target of relocating at least one lakh Rohingyas from 33 Rohingya camps in Ukhia-Teknaf to Hatiyar Bhasanchar in Noakhali. According to sources, another group of Rohingya refugees interested in moving to Bhasanchar in the second week of February is preparing to move to Bhasanchar in the fourth phase from the Ukhia-Teknaf refugee camp.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan has already inaugurated Bhasanchar in Noakhali as the 750th full-fledged police station in the country as the chief guest for the security needs of Rohingya refugees.
