The film’s is budget 3.5 billion (US$52 million).Rajinikanth's 'Robot 2.0', sequel to the blockbuster 'Robot,' is a big-budget film with a difference — it's shot entirely in India, all technical heads are Indians as is most of the VFX technology used in the film.

The film is schedule to release in theaters in 2017.Make in India is one of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's key policy initiatives that seeks to encourage manufacturing in India.
