From lowly busker to global mega star. My adventurous journey with Rising Star (day 38)

My 38th day as an aspiring musician in the game Rising Star is coming to an end.

The life of a musician is often marked by countless ups and downs.

When your body and mind go their own way while playing your instruments and show you that you shouldn't be too sure of your skills, when the energy vampires around you want to rob you of your energy, when no-goods feel called upon to give you unsolicited opinions about the value of your instruments or the quality of your music, when dubious contractors try to cheat you out of the wages of your hard work, or when your instruments or your sound equipment are simply stolen: Welcome to the world of creative artists, welcome to the (fortunately not everyday) life of a musician.

I have met many musicians in my life. I could fill several books with the countless crazy stories from those kind of experiences.

Gigs were paid less than agreed or not at all, or even better, events at which you were supposed to perform and where you then stood in front of closed doors did not even take place due to a lack of sufficient funding from the event organizers, or the agent you hired to arrange gigs for you cheated you out of part of your fees from start to finish: there is nothing that can't happen to a musician during his or her career.

The important thing is not to let all the negative experiences throw you off track: In case of a bad experience do better in the future, stay yourself and continue to go your way undeterred.

The force is with you.

Which brings us to my virtual life as an aspiring musician in the game Rising Star.

I continue to go straight ahead and unperturbed by all circumstances my way to a glorious future.

Since I started the game Rising Star 38 days ago, I have successfully completed 660 missions, 284 of which were Music Lessons. I have now reached level 44 and am only 11784 XP away from my next short-term goal, which is level 50.

When I reach level 50, I will at least fulfill the formal requirements to be able to play the Special Mission STARBITS Millionaire, which would earn me 10,000 Starbits per day. Additionally I need the Starbits Millionaire card, for which I have to deposit 1 Mio Starbits in my hive engine account, but I am sure that I will have fulfilled this requirement at the right time.

And then it's on to my next goal: Reaching level 75 and the Band Auditions mission, so that I can form a band to play the County Tour zone.

I don't know exactly how it will go from there, but I have already partly prepared myself: I will switch from the Basic Singing Lessons to another type of lesson at the Music Lessons.

I have already purchased a sufficient number of Instrument cards for this plan, so that I can start immediately with significantly increased Skill Rewards when the time comes.

In the future, if I find that this other Music Lesson type is no longer sufficient to earn enough Skill Points for the further course of my career, I will try to be prepared for that as well, because I have already started to add the necessary Instrument cards to my card collection, which are available in a much greater variety (and perhaps at a lower cost) than the Instrument cards for the other two Music Lesson types.

But here's where I'll have to see if this strategic plan really works, because there aren't as many inexpensive Instrument cards on the market now as there were a few weeks ago.

I will have to weigh very carefully how best to get to my destination.

It's been a while since I showed you a screenshot of my Rising Star main window, hasn't it? 😁

Many things have happened since then:

As you can see I for now have 13808 Total Fans (all from cards), 22221 Total Luck, 126599 Total Skill (8743 from cards, 117856 from Music Lessons) and 313 IM.

I have also only 14408 Total Ego (13808 from Fans, 600 from missions) so that I have here a quite extensive buffer between Total Ego and Total Skill for the future, which I would like to expand by several 100k, in order to be able to play financially more interesting missions undisturbed for a longer time.
