Buenas noches estimados amigos de Buskeria. Les traigo una nueva historia que he escrito, tengo la intención de compartirla con ustedes. Esta será sobre Kelly, ella es una cantante de buena data, pero que tiene que enfrentarse a algo que amenaza con quitarle todo por lo que ha luchado. Pero la cuestión es si ella se deja vencer o si hace algo al respecto. Esta es una historia de perdida, y quién sabe si de conseguir otras cosas. Opera is considered almost celestial. There is no music on earth as relaxing and inspiring. And when you combine this with one of the most talented opera singers, it becomes almost divine. She is Kelly, a long-established and accomplished opera singer. She has mastered the art of this singing style perfectly, and when someone hears the word "opera," her name immediately comes to mind because she is one of the best and a leading figure in this genre. Throughout her career, she has won so many awards that they wouldn't all fit on a single shelf at home. She has performed in all kinds of venues.

And what about money? That has almost become secondary. But she has earned so much that she no longer worries about it. She only focuses on improving every day and making her music appealing to more people. And she has been achieving this day after day, year after year. Her talent is exceptional. Much of it is due to her voice; without it, she wouldn't have been able to achieve anything. Well, she can sing a little bit of everything at a very high level. From the top, she believed herself invincible, that nothing could bring her down, nothing. But is that true, is nothing really?

La opera, es considerada casi celestial. Pues no hay música sobre la faz de la tierra que sea tan relajante y tan inspiradora. Y pasa cuando sumamos esto con una de las cantantes más talentosas de la opera, pues que se crea casi algo divino. Ella es Kelly, cantante de opera de larga data y trayectoria. Y lo ha venido consiguiendo día tras día, año tras año. Pues su talento es excepcional. Gran parte de todo se debe a su voz, sin ella no hubiera podido lograr nada. Pues puede cantar de todo un poco con un nivel muy alto. Desde lo más alto ella se creía invencible, nada podía hacerla caer, nada. ¿Pero es cierto eso, seguro que nada?

But unfortunately, if there's one thing that can knock you off your feet, from where she stood, it's health. It turns out that over time she developed a vocal cord condition. This condition was treatable when she was young, but due to the high risk of damaging her voice, she avoided surgery. So, as time went on, it worsened, and she had to undergo emergency surgery. As a result, she lost her voice, the one that had been almost perfect and had brought her to where she was today. In a way, she was partly to blame for what happened because she made the decision to have surgery when the problem was still minor. At that time, she was terrified of losing what she had achieved, and her voice was her most precious treasure. She believed it would heal on its own, as it had for many others.

It was a shame, but it didn't happen that way. She had to take more than two years off from work to recover. When she returned, she could still sing, but it was nothing like what it once was; she had lost it, in her opinion. She still had her fame, she still had her money, and now she had her health back. Only her voice was missing. She thought no one would want her anymore, that she would be a terrible example for opera. So she decided to stop singing and appearing in public. She was afraid of being heard with that deep voice she now had. It was a very difficult adjustment process for her. Because she was used to singing on grand stages and giving her all. Now she was nothing more than a woman wasting away from the spotlight.

Every day she received thousands of letters from people all over the world asking her to come back. Some who knew about her surgery told her they loved her for who she was, not just for her voice. Although these messages were encouraging, she simply distanced herself from everything for eight long years. But when the eight years were up, she couldn't take it anymore. She was made for music, not to be locked away. She was like a pearl trapped inside an oyster, waiting to become a beautiful necklace. In this case, she was the pearl and the necklace the opera. The fear of being hated by people held her back for a long time, but she finally decided to return to try her luck.

Pero lamentablemente si hay una cosa que puede tumbarte de lo más alto, de donde ella estaba. Y eso es la salud. Resulta que desarrolló con el tiempo una enfermedad en las cuerdas vocales. Esa enfermedad era curable cuando era pequeña. Pero debido al gran riesgo de dañar su voz, ella evito hacerse una operación. Así que con el tiempo aquello se empeoró y tuvo que operarse de urgencias. Como consecuencia perdió si voz, la que era casi perfecta y la había llevado hasta donde había llegado. De cierta forma ella misma tuvo la culpa de que pasó porque tomó la decisión de operarse cuando aún estaba pequeño el problema. Y es que en ese momento ella estaba aterrada por la idea de perder lo que había logrado, y su voz era su tesoro más preciado. Creía que se curaría sola como les había pasado a muchas personas.

Fue una lástima pero no ocurrió así. Tuvo que recesar por más de dos años de su trabajo para poder recuperarse. Cuando regreso aún podía cantar pero no se parecía en nada a lo que una vez fue, lo había perdido a su criterio. Aún tenia su fama, aún tenía el dinero, y ahora tenía de vuelta a la salud. Solo su voz era lo que faltaba. Pensó que nadie más la querría, que sería un ejemplo horrendo para la opera. Así que decidió dejar de cantar, y de aparecer en publico. Tenía miedo de ser escuchada con esa voz grave que ahora tenía. Fue un proceso de adaptación muy difícil para ella. Porque estaba adaptada a cantar en grandes escenarios, y dar lo mejor de ella. Ahora no era más que una mujer consumiéndose lejos de los focos.

Cada día recibía miles de cartas de personas de todo el mundo pidiéndole que regresara. Algunos que sabían de su operación le decían que la querían por su persona, no solo por la voz. Aunque estos mensajes tenían animo, ella simplemente se distanció de todo por 8 largos años. Pero al llegar al 8 ya no pudo aguatar más. Ella estaba hecha para la música, no para estar encerrada. It wasn't what she wanted, but giving up was worse, and staying away from the music she loved so much was even worse. So she returned as a tenor. For many people, it was a surprise; others naturally didn't like it because they weren't used to it, but the vast majority did. It was a new way to continue doing what she loved—different, perhaps even annoying, but music nonetheless. The good thing about all this is that she didn't lose much; she continues to be successful, and her achievements are still there. Her only regret is not having acted sooner.
