Congrats on your large gains. I hope you'll take a look over the cryptocurrency field and consider converting those gains to something else.
In brief, one of the major problems with Ripple is that since it is an instrument intended for banks and centrally controlled, it comes with the likelihood that at some point its users will be forced to comply with various national and international "Know Your Customer" laws and be subject to having their balances frozen or confiscated at the whim of the their oligopoly bank.
Ripple seems to have been envisioned more as a banking industry "international settlement layer" of sorts rather than as a common-use cryptocurrency. It may be very good at the former, but as the latter it seems kind of risky to me.
Youre probably right! Still, I have almost nothing to lose (I invested less than 100 euros) so ill wait a littlebit :)
