Seriously, stop shitting on the guy.
I haven't seen Glass Onion yet; but, I've seen everything else that the dude has made. He's a solid filmmaker.
Nobody would have any hatred for Rian Johnson if it weren't for The Last Jedi; but, he was fucked from the get-go with that movie. Maybe you could insist that he just shouldn't have taken the job, given the circumstances; but, would anybody, especially movie makers, turn down an opportunity to direct a Star Wars movie? Show of hands! Anybody?
Of course Rian Johnson made a lot of mistakes with The Last Jedi; but, Johnson is clearly a better filmmaker than Jar Jar Abrams. The Rise of Skywalker was the only Star Wars movie that I saw, couldn't wait to be over, and decided to never watch again before I left the theater.
Jar Jar Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy killed Star Wars, not Rian Johnson.
Otherwise, Johnson has a good track record.
Brick was fantastic. The Brothers Bloom was a bit of a miss; but, it has its moments. Looper, to my mind, was pretty damn good. Knives Out was entertaining.
Just stop pretending that Rian Johnson is some sort of hack.
