This post is not a lesson of how to issue rewards. Rather it is my personal errant practice of attempting to give more to my mentors than they have given me. 
This is a challenge because these Steemians have loads more Steem power than I. If they grant me a 1% vote, this means I must return a 100% vote in response. You can imagine my struggle to give them more than I have received. Honestly, I doubt if they even notice.
This is a tedious, futile, and ridiculous way to exist in the community. It is financially flawed. Nevertheless, I really appreciate these people. I am compelled to try.
I may stop this game and attempt to spread my value around, but how I allocate rewards has become a habit. Old habits die hard.
In conclusion, don't feed your bad habits.
