My husband bought and really enjoys his reel mower! Sometimes he has to break down and use the power mower next door because he has to do both yards in a hurry, but he says he likes the reel mower best because it's so quiet and I think he just likes the feel of it. We have noticed that it usually needs a spritz of oil before use to keep the blades spinning freely and quietly, but that's it for maintenance.

I've noticed the grass likes the cut way better, but it does tend to have a hard time cutting dandelions - the heads seem to bow down and bounce back after you go over them.
