I can still remember the first Jumanji movie and decided to watch this second version partly because of that. Also because I like watching comedy and adventure type of films.
This movie is rated PG-13 and the full title is Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. It is really different from the first Jumanji movie cause the characters in this movie became the actual characters/players in the Jumanji video game that they chose. Which means they completely became a different movie character when they got absorbed in the game. It was not just the board game where you roll dice kind of game and the surrounding will be different with matching game creatures come to life scenarios. So we can say they made the movie somewhat modern with its video game version.
The first part when they were "problem" teenagers in their school was kind of bland to me. Mainly because it was not yet the action part so, I was really hoping that the action part comes sooner while watching it. It started to became really interesting for me when the scene came when they were in the jungle already. It is a game of survival as they needed to defeat their enemies and be able to complete the game before they could go back to their real selves and world. They got three lives each just like some of the video games, if their lives will be consumed, it will be game over and they will be real dead or cannot go back to their real world anymore.
Overall, this movie is entertaining for me and something the whole family can watch together. There are life lessons as well such as believing in yourself that you can conquer your fears and achieve your goals. Also you can unleash your potential and be courageous not just for yourself but also for those who rely on you. 😊

This was such a good movie!
Nice to know you liked it. :)
I haven't had a chance to see the film, but I'm astounded at how well it's done at the world wide box office. This film looked so unimpressive in its initial trailers, yet it's brought in like $800 million. That's insane! Now I want to see it so I can see what all the fuss is about!
Maybe because it is a kid friendly movie and usually families watch together would choose to watch it for the sake of everyone. :D
