DESIGNING A RESUME-ARTISTIC

in #resume7 years ago (edited)

Hello guys and welcome to another lecture series on designing a resume, and today we would be looking at the artistic design. An artistic resume is different from a standard resume in that it is colorful, and should include any exhibitions, awards, and published references. In our design we would be linking our resume to our different social media handles.

For those of you just joining our lecture series, here is what we have looked at so far, be sure to check them out

Today we would be looking at finishing the artistic design, as you would recall the artistic layout is more suited for creative organisations, freelancers and it is important to meet with standard when applying for a job, as the saying goes

first impression matters

In this case your resume would create the first impression, which would determine if you would get a call for an interview or not, if your resume don't speak well of you, then most likely you would be applying a 1001 job without a single interview. In order to avoid this, I have set up this tutorial to teach you how design a resume that meets your needs, be it modern organisations, or old organisations, all this you can find here;

I never use InDesign, but my previous Resume is done in Illustrator. What is the strength of InDesign compared to Illustrator?

first impression will be the best impressions
