Meet McGee - Our 2nd rescue dog joins the family.

Last week we picked up our second rescue dog. Meet McGee, he is an 11 week old Staffy cross. I was travelling back into the country on the Friday, so had agreed to collect him on the Saturday, we were notified on the Friday afternoon, he had taken ill and was in the vet on a drip, and they were not sure what was wrong with him. We were told to see what he was like on the Monday, if he made it through! Fortunately it turned out to be some gastro bug, and

He is settling in great to the family. Our other rescue dog, Coral, she is a Boxer cross, around 3 years old (but not sure), she has been great with him, and after a couple of initial days where she 'wasn't sure' about him and kept trying to get away from him, they are getting on great now.

Now, Coral doesn't even mind him being next to her in her day bed.

Or even letting McGee sleep on top of her while napping on the sofa in the evening watching a bit of tv.

They get on great together, delighted it has worked out so well, and they could even be mistaken for mother and son.

See what things are like in a year once he gets even bigger! Hopefully they will still get on just fine.
