The same legends and Ideas permeate throughout eastern spirituality over a vast amount of time. The Star Wars movies and the Jedi are based on and inspired by these legends. Apparently, these abilities were a lot more common in the distant past. Humans also had a much higher awareness of their own aura and surroundings, which have since been supressed and forgotten.
