Lighthouse by the harbor gray;
beacon for those whose craft might stray,
before the light breaks on the shore
before the dawn of day;

Gift of light for all to see,
ill-fated they would otherwise be,
to find safe harbor on the shore,
to guide their craft at sea;
before the light breaks on the shore,
and the shadows are no more…
Will you as the lighthouse be?
rescuing waywards from the sea?
where violent waves and darkness claim
wealthy, weary, strong and lame;
before the light breaks on the shore
before the final hour…
before the light breaks on the shore,
