Why all religions are fake

in #religion7 years ago

Humans have the tendency to always have ego centric perspective.

We center on us, we center on our time period, our country, our cities, our friends, our culture.

Narrower is our center of gravity, better we (individuals) feel as living creatures.

Human kind is already more than 200 000 Years old, with supposed to be 6000 years of civilisation only.

Each ethnicity had developed one religion depending on geography and time period. All different.Persian_Eagle_God_(4962043138).jpg

What makes us different from those humans 50 000 Years ago ? Nothing.

I'm born in a Christian Old world Europe because we are in 2017.

If I was born 50000 Years ago, people would worship monoliths and stars.

If I had to be born 50000 years from now, people would probably worship them again, but on other planets far aways from here.

The old and new testament , for exemple, would then be considered as an old folkloric abandoned cult. With no consequence, nor fear.

Personally, i know i'm not the center of anything.

And I know it's better to keep all my perspectives opened , to anything, anytime.

I'm not living in a/the Matrix.

I don't want to tell people how to be, what to think and just divide us.

Is it all about the unending human need for some kind parental love?

We, humans, need to be protected, by god, by the laws, by a boss, by an insurance company, by parents, family, and so on.
This need of protection can somehow turn itself into a great privation of liberty because it create blindness to what our real life experience could be.
This need of protection somehow is the source of many enslavements.

Unfortunately human nature being what it is, some people see this need as an opportunity to exploit others.

Besides the need for protection, we as humans have a need to know and to understand our surroundings to some extend as not knowing is scary. That's another aspect of the same need for not only parental love, but a sense that everything makes sense, is organized and that we always have hope and can expect justice in the future even if we are not feeling good at the moment.

So when we lack knowledge and understanding and get scared by the chaotic nature of the world around us, we invent religions, so we can feel safe again taking solace in the idea that we live in a world that is fair and organized.

With our insatiable desire to explore and what seems our need for reassurance along the way, it's almost like we're fighting ourselves every step of the way to whatever future awaits.

No wonder aliens find humans so interesting in every derivative sci-fi movie I've seen.

That's a great way to put it. This is why I think that we should always challenge our assumptions and try to keep an open mind. Keeping beliefs and ideas just for reassurance's sake is an impediment to true progress and true knowledge. The most important lesson is to learn that there is nothing wrong with saying "I don't know" when that is indeed the case.

Indeed

I think accepting the true existence of chaos is actually what makes you emerge out of it

Yep, that's a good way to put it, too!
