RIGHTEOUSNESS
We all need to repent every now and then. It is a part of being flesh and blood, and the fact that all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.
However, repentance is not us asking God to forgive us of our sins while we continue to live in our sins.
The blood of Christ can forgive any sin that we are willing to give up, but can’t forgive any sin that we continue to hold unto. Until we are willing to change to God's unchanging Word, and abandon our sinful lifestyle, the only one we are truly fooling is ourselves.
We can either turn from our sins(repent) , or we can burn in hell awaiting for the Judgement Day to be cast out into the lake of fire because of our sins, because of we reject the free gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone and following Him to death.
*** Revelation 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.***
