Today I would like to look at Colossians 4 verse 2
2)Be persistent in prayer, and keep alert as you pray, giving thanks to God.
We must not stop believing, if God does not answer our prayers immediately, God may be waiting to answer us, because He is working in our lives. God says we must keep on praying, we must not get dispirited, God is always there for us. What we want is not always the best for us and what God wants for us.

So very true. My daughter has a rare terminal illness and each day I pray for perfect healing and a long healthy life. While Jesus hasnt erased her complication he has in my view given us now nearly two years which the doctors said would not be possible. He has minimized her seizure activity from the 50-60 we were told to expect daily to some months none! He has used her story to lead me and my wife closer to his loving arms. He had used her life and miraculous resilience to show his power, love and glory.
Point being, we pray, he listens, and he answers. Even if the answers are not always exactly what we requested, His answers are ALWAYS what we needed. Romans 8:28

Most people think when God doesn't answer then in time they think He has forgotten them which is not right. God does things at His own set time, we can force Him to do what He's bot ready to do and He might be clearing some bushing bushes so that the glory can shine and manifest. God created us and knows infinitely more than we know. He knows what is best for us, and what would not be good for us. If you have children, when they were very small, sometimes they asked for things that would not be good for them, or would harm them. For good reasons sometimes parents do not always give their children what they ask for, when they ask for it. Parents give them what is best for them.

God has certain conditions that must be met before our prayers can be answered. One of the first, is we feel our need of help from Him. Isaiah 44:3 says, “I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground.” The heart must be open to the Spirit’s influence, or God’s blessing cannot be received. One cannot pour water into a cup that is already full.

John 3:16. '"For God so LOVED the world".......
Jeremiah 31:3, "I have loved thee with an everlasting love."

Recently I was reminded, “God's Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105). God directs my path. He lights my way. His ways are clear and purposeful. The devil’s ways are confusing and purposeless. When I am frustrated in my prayer life, I can be encouraged by how God answered prayer in the Bible.
