Today I would like to look at Ecclesiastes 1 verse 12 to 14

12)I, the Teacher, was king over Israel in Jerusalem.
13)I applied my mind to study and to explore by wisdom all that is done under the heavens. What a heavy burden God has laid on mankind!
14)I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

Here the wise king Solomon, is talking:
He says we are chasing after wind, all the things we are chasing comes to nothing. Happiness is not found in possessions, but is found in a good relationship with God, as He is the only one who knows what is best for us.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

Thank you @rynow for today's scripture. This. Is. An advice from the wisest man that ever lived should be taken seriously.

Possessions can only give you temporary pleasure. You can get temporary pleasure from alcohol, but genuine and lasting pleasure comes from God.

Only God can give true fulfillment in life. Solomon had all the world could offer, all the money and fame, but yet true peace and contentment comes From God alone.

Amen, thank you so much for the very nice comment.

Solomon was the richest man that ever lived. Despite all his wealth, he still said there is no satisfaction in them. Wealth can never satisfy, only God can.

Thank you so much for the very nice comment.

True happiness is found in our relationship with God. True happiness comes from God, and not from possessions

So true @rynow. This is a word we need today, in a day where there is so much craving for material things. We need to know God is the source of what we are looking for.

'' I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.''

Solomon had experienced all the things we are running after, and yet he did not get happiness from them. No amount of money van give true joy. It's your walk with God that gives joy.

Amen, nicely said.

Our life is significant. Far more than success, our hearts desire significance because significance lasts forever. On the other hand, possessions are temporal. They perish, spoil, and fade. And most of them, by design. Thanks a lot. I was blessed

Happiness is not found in possessions, the things we are chasing comes to nothing. Thanks for sharing.

Amen, thank you so much for the very nice comment.

The subtle difference between chasing the right things versus the wrong things is the why behind it.

When you’re focused on the outside - what others think of you - you’re designing your life for the judgment of others. Your motivation is what others think of you.

When you do this, you’ll always be behind the eight ball on true happiness and fulfillment.

Yes, we must not satisfy the world, but we must do what God wants us to do.
