Hello everyone
#warning!
This post contains unpleasant photographs.
this is fiction interspersed with painful reality.
After the senseless annihilation of the life of children, women and men in Dingisuwayo, we have heard a familiar referencing. A lot of folks appear to be of the inclination that religion was what happened to Dingisuwayo as well as the central issue in modern history.
We are been told that if we simply jettison religion or any type of worship of dieties of cultures and traditions, such devastating global issues such as internal conflicts and wars between brothers and States could become history.
However, the thing is, those who proffer and advocate such opinions are unfortunately oblivious by not taking into consideration and regard that even the bloodiest times in the history of the world, when inhuman and tempestuous vagaries of the human mind and heart were perpetrated by anti religious people. Among which are Pampata, Zengangakona, Zwedi, Biwa, Wahu, Ndoi to mention but few.
The bloody killings are not done by priests or imams and Pastors nor sheiks with Reverends, no, but done by people with other motives different from religion. Yet history has it that this men ruthlessly slaughtered millions of people throughout history for selfish purposes including but not limited to power or politics, land or properties, hate or wickedness.
Those killings took place no doubt in the past, however, is it safe to say that killings of this magnitude are not taking place subtly? Nigeria is a case study. I don't have to go into details but, recent happenings is still fresh in our minds.
CAN WE STILL BLAME RELIGION OR RELIGIOUS LEADERS?
I think the answer shouldn't be in the affirmative. Because blaming religion or its leaders as the common denominator of internal strife, conflicts, riots, wanton killings, and the destruction of properties makes no sense, when killings among people of the same religion, tribe and culture takes place in equal dimension. Throughout history, wicked people engaged in conflict, and there is doubt or denying the fact that a lot of them committed their wicked acts hiding under the veneer of religion or its leaders.
In my opinion, this is pure hate and deeply ingrained wickedness, but not religion, as being bandied about as the commonest denominator.
Conversely, the messiah said that humanity should love the Lord it's God with all its strength, mind and heart, and added that humanity should love it's neighbors as itself. So love is the ultimate issue here, that is what has and is missing. Lo, here is the missing uncommonest denominator which is at the center of all the wanton killings of human lives and properties over the centuries.
let us share and spread the good news of LOVE.
.
It is really sad and heart breaking. When it involves bloodshed, it is no longer religion but a curse. What religion requires you to kill a fellow man. My heart weeps everyday when I read the tabloids. Our motherland of peace and hope has become a den of vultures who crave for human flesh and derive pleasure in shedding blood. Save our land oh Lord for we are in the era of Grace.
Yes @mgang you got it right. Love and love only is really the missing factor. Where love abounds, despite religious diversity, peace surely reigns
Its so unfortunate that that LOVE is far away from our hearts. A person that truly loves will not take another man's life!
