Why is Jesus different?
Many people ask this question. What a thing Jesus offers us that we can not find in another person. What is it that makes Jesus different from any other character in history that has also been of great renown during history?
Jesus is the son of God. He is not a simple man, he is also God. Perhaps many say that Jesus was only a great teacher with good teachings, that Buddha, Muhammad, Moroni or any other were also teachers like Jesus. But there is something that differentiates Christ from others.
Jesus is the lord.
Although his first physical appearance was little more than two thousand years ago, Jesus was already from the beginning.
John 1 says.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him it was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
In the same way in Genesis 1, the Bible tells that Jesus was in the beginning, when God created the heavens and the earth, Jesus was there, the name of God in its original language is a plural name which denotes the deity of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is the way.
Only through the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross can we have access to the Father. This means that Jesus had to make a difficult decision, the decision to die to give us salvation, and before that the decision to leave his position as deity in the heavenly places to become a human being and give us the ability to overcome sin of the human being being tempted in all things and telling us that we too can overcome temptation.
The blood of Jesus. Unique
Nobody else could do what Jesus did, his blood was unique. The blood of Jesus was specially designed in the heavens to be the only one that can bring redemption to humanity. Certainly the male sex causes blood to form in a baby, this is how Mary being a virgin becomes the mother of Jesus, while the Holy Spirit engenders in her Jesus without the conceived sin, who carries the perfect blood to redeem All the men.
Colossians 1. KJV
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they are thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
As a personal testimony I can say that Jesus is different from any other person of renown that I have heard, I certainly studied about other religions, and I managed to understand that Christ is not a religion anymore, in fact it is not a relationship, but that we He offers a close relationship in which he demonstrates everything he had prepared before the foundation of the world for each one of us. In his name I found healing, salvation, the restoration of my family, and many other blessings that would be very difficult to enumerate. He also gave us the power to bring such signs to others in his name, through his word, and through his great compassion towards humanity.
Jesus died, but He also rose again, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. Christ brought the heavens to the earth, and it is our duty to manifest the kingdom of God in our environment.
A very nice post, all this is very useful for everyone. Whatever we do, we must always be close to God, and always have time to read the Bible, God will also be close to us. That way our lives will always be happy. Thanks for sharing... :)
