RE: Islam a Religion of Peace

First of all be respectful, your comment doesn't show any respect I can only assume that your parents failed badly to teach you how to talk.

Anyway what you read and quoted is just out of context. About the first verse it is for those jews and Christians who betrayed the Muslims in Madina. Islam does not have a hatred toward Christians. Allah says in the Quran:
"Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians--whoever believes in God and the Last Day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord. And there will be no fear for them, nor shall they grieve" (2:62, 5:69, and many other verses).

". . . and nearest among them in love to the believers will you find those who say, 'We are Christians,' because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant" (5:82).

Moreover Christians and Jews are being called as the "People of the Book" in Quran.

About killing innocent beings Allah has warned us against this act. It is said in the Quran:
“… whoso kills a soul, unless it be for murder or for wreaking corruption in the land, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind; and he who saves a life, it shall be as if he had given life to all mankind.” (5:53)

Islamic law forbids aggressive warfare. The Quran says, “But if the enemies incline towards peace, you also incline towards peace. And trust in Allah! For He is the one who hears and knows all things.” (8:61) The Quran chapter “The Cow,” 2:190, says, “Fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities. Allah does not love aggressors.”

Hope you have got my point @pagandance
